New Land Tours
Among Katarina Line’s new additions for 2019 are two customizable land programs that include “Active Spring” in Croatia’s Kvarner Region. One of the country’s most popular destinations, the area is known for its sweeping island views and vast coastline, surrounded by forests and mountains that offer countless miles of biking, hiking and walking trails. Katarina Line is also offering a “Bora and Salt” program that explores Croatia’s famous Bora winds that blow along the Adriatic coast and the Nin Salt Works, which have been operating for over 1500 years. There are also new guaranteed tours for FIT’s and groups that include the “Medjugorje Pilgrimage,” of which St. James’ Church serves as the central place of worship. The pilgrimage includes a visit to the Apparition Hill, where the Virgin Mary is believed to appear every month.
A Gem of a Cruise
Among Katarina Line’s new cruises for 2019 is the “Northern Gems,” a seven-day island-hopping voyage in the southern Adriatic Sea that departs from Split. The cruise also visits the village of Sali and city of Zadar, known for its Roman and Venetian ruins, and the island of Zlarin, before returning to Split.
Ship categories for “Northern Gems” include Deluxe and Deluxe Superior. They feature lavishly designed, air-conditioned and spacious en-suite cabins. Prices include daily buffet breakfast and lunch, a captain’s dinner, all applicable fees, excursions described in itinerary, and airport transfers.
